Neil Patrick Harris is once again readying for a triumphant return to Broadway -- and this time, he's not alone. Returning to Broadway alongside the formerHow I Met Your Motherstar, James Corden will also make his way back to New York's premiere theater district, delighting fans eager to witness the formerLate Late Show in person. Additionally, Harris and Corden will be joined by award-winning character actor Bobby Cannavale, best known for his roles in NBC'sThird Watch,HBO'sBoardwalk Empire,Hulu'sNine Perfect Strangers, and the critically acclaimedfilms Blue Jasmine, I, TonyaandThe Irishman, among many others. All three actors will take a central role in Yasmina Reza's 1994 comedy play,Art. An unconventional rendering of Paris' artistic background,Artfollows three friends who drastically disagree over an abstract painting one of them purchases for display in their home. Previously, the show had made its debut on Broadway in 1998, led by Alan Alda, Victor Garber and Alfred Molina, the latter of whom won a Tony Award for best actor with his performance in the play. "On behalf of my partners Adam Speers, Gavin Kalin, and myself, we are thrilled to be producing the first-ever Broadway revival of this iconic Tony-Award winning play with three iconic, award-winning actors, Bobby Cannavale, James Corden and Neil Patrick Harris, under the helm of the legendary Scott Ellis," said producer Michael Shulman of Sand & Snow Entertainment, ATG Productions and Gavin Kalin Productions. "Ever since I first saw the original production, it has been etched into my mind as a hysterical and moving portrayal of friendship, compromise, and the power of art to change perspectives," Shulman continued on by saying. Performances of the show will take place at Broadway's Music Box starting August 28, with an opening night scheduled for September 16. The show is currently set to run for a 17-week limited engagement, with the final performance slated for December 21, 2025.
