'Days of Our Lives' Star, 40, Issues Bold Statement After Wrong Emmy Reel Was Submittedoriginally appeared onParade. As cast and crew members across the daytime industry anxiously await news of their Daytime Emmy nominations, one former actor fromDays of Our Livesreveals that the show submitted the wrong reel, potentially affecting his chances at receiving a nomination. ActorBlake Berris, former Nick Fallon and Everett "Bobby" Lynch, took to Instagram to announce this mistake, as well as share what would've been his actual reel. The actor captioned the post, "Some of you may not know this, but actors submit our own reels for Emmy consideration. We sift through a year's work and try to shape something that captures the heart of a story. For my final year on#DAYS, I took a "less is more" approach — a short reel I felt honored the story the writers and directors crafted so beautifully. Unfortunately, due to a mistake (which DAYS has apologized for - I get it - we're all human) a 12-minute rough assembly was submitted instead.I'm disappointed, not because I thought I'd win, but because I feel I let down the team who gave me such powerful material. That said, I'm proud of the work — and endlessly grateful to the daytime community. To the fans and my peers, here's the reel I intended to submit. And sorry to all the judges who had to watch 12M of my blubbering face !" One commenting, "You are truly so humble and genuine you don't see that often in soaps much less in the world in general.I have no doubt that more and more people will see your talent and realize just what they are missing.I still remember when you played Nick during the second go round of the possession storyline and you were so creepy and sinister. You have it in spades Mr Berris and I can not wait to see more people realize this.Love and light always.🤗👏🫵❤️✌️👍" While another added, " hate to hear of the mistake, but I know I'm not alone in this…you are literally one of the best actors to grace the screen- the talent oozes from you and you transport the viewer! Standing Ovation to you all damn day!!" Days of Our Livesstreams weekdays on Peacock.
