TMZfirst reported Hurst's death, which was announced on theofficial Facebook pagefor Cooter's Place museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, because the elder Hurst had been scheduled to appear there July 3-7. Cooter's Place is a museum and theme store founded by actorBen Jones, who played mechanic Cooter Davenport onThe Dukes of Hazzard. There are three locations — two in Tennessee and one in Virginia. OnRyan Hurst's Instagram page, fans are flooding the comments of his most recent post with condolences about his father.
