Curtis, 66, pitched her costar,Lindsay Lohan, to portray the film icon during a Monday, July 28, appearance onGood Morning Americato promoteFreakier Friday —and Ann-Margret later responded. "I'm going to out you now to the world — I want her to do the Ann-Margret story," theHalloweenalum told Lohan, 39, on the talk show. "So, every day on Instagram… I find videos of her back in the day, and I send [Lohan] every day videos [of Ann-Margret]," Following the commentary, Ann-Margret, 84, gave her take on the topic. "I know that she wants to do that," theViva Las Vegasactress toldIndieWire. "It just depends on what the dialogue is like. What can I say? I adore her. I think she's full of talent, and I just would like to see what they can come up with." Curtis mentioning Lohan and Ann-Margret as her dream collab isn't the first time the idea has been discussed. In November 2024, theParent Trapstar appeared onWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohenwhere she gave an update on the biopic. "Are you working on that? I know she gave her blessing for you to star in it," hostAndy Cohensaid at the time. Lohan confirmed, "We're working on the story. It's exciting." She went on to say, "It's gonna be pretty intense. It has to be the way that she wants it to be, so I really want it to be special in that way." Portraying theBye Bye Birdie actress wouldn't be a biopic first for Lohan, who previously starred asElizabeth Taylorin the 2012 television filmLiz & Dick. However, she's remained adamant that to pull off paying homage to the famed actress, everything must be done right. "So I just really want to do her justice and help tell a great story for her." TheMean Girlsstar is currently gearing up for the release ofFreakier Friday, the sequel to the hit 2003 filmFreaky Friday. Curtis and Lohan return as mother-daughter duo Tess and Anna, respectively, years after they first switched bodies. "Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter," per a synopsis. Entertainment Weeklypreviously reported the plot involving the two ladies switching bodies with two teenage girls.
